The Flash TV Show

The Flash is a TV show I very much enjoy. It stars Grant Gustin who plays Barry Allen and the Flash. In season 1, Barry Allen gets struck by lightning the night a particle accelerator exploded. After that, Barry has super speed and can go up to over 300 mph. He finds out that something impossible killed Nora Allen (his mother) and 14 years later, he becomes the impossible. Near the conclusion of season 1, he finds out that the Harrison Wells that ran STAR Labs was actually the man who murdered Barry's mother.

In season 2, he fights off one of the fastest people alive called Zoom. Zoom is apparently Jay Garrick from another Earth, hence Professor Stein's theory about the multiverse. I may be a blogger on this Earth but I may be a professional football player on another Earth, to give an example of the multiverse. Near the conclusion of season 2, Barry creates the Flashpoint, which is an alternate timeline where his mother wasn't murdered.

In season 3, the Flash beat Zoom and has to beat the god of speed and Alchemy who gives people from Flashpoint powers. The god of speed threatens to murder Iris West, Barry's girlfriend in season 2 and 3. The god of speed is named Savitar, and later returns in season 4, which I haven't seen yet.

All in all, The Flash is a fun superhero show that is created by DC Comics and I give the series a 10 out of 10. The first 3 seasons of The Flash can be accessed through Netflix and I believe YouTube Red or Hulu. If not, it's on Netflix and the CW channel.

Home Alone

I just watched the movie Home Alone today, even though I saw it several times in the past. It is a Christmas story about an 8 year old boy named Kevin who is left home alone by his family. His family went on a trip to Paris, France. When Kevin's mom found out she left Kevin home alone, she tried calling their friends, the Murphys, who went down to Florida for the holidays. Kevin may be young, but he sure knows how to make friends, do some shopping, and hurt some bandits. The bandits were the Wet Bandits, who plug up the sink and turns on the water, flooding the kitchen and the basement. There is a lot covered in this magical Christmas movie, but I'll simplify it to the point. Never, ever leave your son or daughter alone during the holidays. They won't know what to do. Anyways, back to Kevin. Kevin was very smart, setting up traps in the house with tar, nails, iced over concrete, an iron, a blowtorch (don't ask me why), Christmas ornaments, and fixed cell service. When Kevin looks like his life is about to end, the neighbor of Kevin, who was rumored to be the snow shovel murderer, hit the bandits with a snow shovel. Upside the head! After Kevin gets back home on Christmas Day, the bandits are now on trial for crime, Kevin's family got home from Paris, and they lived happily ever after.

All in all, I rate this movie a 9.5/10, several hilarious parts, and something kids could do if they're home alone, but really shouldn't.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid 11: Double Down

I've been reading this book a lot and it is very good. In the beginning, Greg Heffley thinks he is being secretly filmed for a TV show or a movie. Around the middle, Greg starts reading these horror books called "Spineticklers" by I.M. Spooky (not a real book series or author). His best friend, Rowley Jefferson reads the junior versions since Greg describes him as a scaredy-cat by saying "Well Rowley is even more of a chicken than I am." Greg gets these nightmares from these books like, reading "Tails, you lose," he gets a dream that he's the one with the tail. In the book, Greg states, "In my dream, I was the one with the tail.... I wasn't ashamed of my tail, i was actually PROUD of it." Then Greg read a book about dentists being the devils, making his dentist appointments more uncomfortable than usual. Towards the end of the book, Rowley and Greg decides to make a horror movie about worms in which Greg calls, "The Night of the Night Crawlers." Rowley was really afraid when he was doing the storyboards and talking to Greg about it. He suggested using butterflies, which wasn't scary at all.

All in all, I give 10 out of 10 stars to this book.

So that is all the time I got for this Saturday's book review. If you want to read the book, click here. I recommend starting on the first book.
